Year 8

‘Smart Snacking’ helps the students to make healthier choices when preparing and buying snacks. It will help them to understand that one way to obtain sufficient energy, nutrients and satisfy their hunger is through the consumption of nutrient-dense snacks and regular meals. Adolescents are encouraged to discuss the common feeling of hunger and the regular cravings during this life stage.  The importance that these are not to be ignored but satisfied with healthier approaches will be stressed. Throughout this interactive programme, adolescents are empowered with knowledge and skills to select, purchase and plan a nutritious snacks to consume during the day. Sustainability will be explored and students will be encouraged to act on reducing their carbon footprint.
