HESC within the Department of Curriculum Management supports educational entities and tuck shop operators in promoting and implementing nutrition guidelines, policies and regulations. Following visits by officers from the Environmental Health Directorate various Heads of schools requested the HESC’s support. Meetings with SMT were followed by an impromptu visit to the tuck shop and a general assessment of the goods on sale was made. HESC staff collated a detailed report intended to help schools achieve a healthier nutrition environment.  This was sent to the Head of school and to the school team in charge of the tuck shop.
