Earlier this year, the Home Economics Seminar Centre (HESC) in collaboration with the Malta Bankers’ Association (MBA) have organised a Financial Literacy Challenge to mark the European Money Week and Global Money Week.

The challenge promoted financial literacy, financial education and financial inclusion, and encouraged the sharing of good practice among schools, teachers, students and other community members.

The winning schools and entities were to be announced during the launch event which was scheduled to take place on 23 March 2020, however, this had to be postponed due to the closure of schools.

Recently, MBA awarded cash prices to the winning school, St Theresa College – Msida Primary School, and to second-placed St Margaret College, Learning Support Centre in Cospicua. The allotted money will be used by the respective schools to fund initiatives related to financial literacy education.

Well Done to all the participants!
